Advanced site description
Welcome to our site Thailandreviews.com! If you are planning a trip to Thailand you may find some useful information on this site. We would like to share our experiences with you. Over the last few years we made several fantastic trips to this amazing country. The people are warm and friendly and the weather is great. We were fortunate to travel to some unspoiled spots. If you have the time you should go there. You can find those beatiful places by looking at our hotel section. On our city section we have numerous cities with a nice description.Travelling in Thailand is very easy, we travelled by car (self-drive), bus, minibus, by train, by air and we never had any problem. We have made some descriptions (not online yet) of our separate holidays. You can book almost everything online, hotels, trips, carrentals in all cities. This will make planning your holiday almost a trip by itself. In the Hotels section (see the menu) you find only a list of hotels where we were staying during our trips, with some short reviews. In the Links section you will find a list of sites we use by planning our trips. What you should know about Thailand, Thailand is a monarchy, Thai people have a deep respect for the Royal Family. As a visitor you should be respectful for the King Bhumibol, the Queen Sirikit and the other Royal family members. When you are invited to a Thai house you should leave your shoes at the door, when entering a temple, you also leave your shoes in front of the temple. Never point at people with your feet, this is considered to be very rude, Thai consider the foot as the dirtiest part of the body . Thai consider the head as sacred you should never touch someone’s head. Monks are forbidden to touch a woman, when a woman wants to give something to a monk they should hand it over to a man first. Showing affection between to people, such as kissing is “not done” in public. Thai normally don’t shake hands, The traditional Thai greeting, the wai, is offered first by the youngest of the two people. Their hands pressed together, fingertips pointing upwards as the head is bowed to touch their face to the hands . The wai means "Hello" but it also means "Goodbye" Links by Thailand reviews, If you have link about Thailand, and you think this link should on our page, don't hesitatte to contact us.
