For the past thirteen years I have been working mainly as a commission only portrait artist, therefore the work displayed on my virtual gallery are not for sale, neither am I able, time-wise, to have exhibitions, but the pictures on view are chosen to represent the type of work I do. My work is realistic. I mainly enjoy producing my work via the mediums of oils, acrylics and pastel. I discovered early on in my career that while living in Spain I'd grown to love both the people and the architecture. Therefore most of my presented work represents a fraction of my interest. As I began to form close friendships I would find myself outside of their home with pad and pencil. This proved popular with many, which led to a suggestion by some ... that I consider producing cards and postcards, then prints and posters. Now I find more and more shops requesting stock. For me, life as an artist has been fruitful and enjoyable. My gallery is situated within a comfortable nest of other galleries whose artists I'm most proud to be a part of. Welcome to my gallery ... Bienvenido (abajo en español) As a child I loved to spend my time drawing pictures of people and surreal landscapes. I’d not put pencil to paper or brush to canvas for more than twenty years when my husband bought me paints, brushes and canvas. My first project was to paint a portrait of a close friend to present on his birthday. Someone saw the picture and commissioned me to paint a portrait of herself, after which she commissioned me to paint another ten pictures of varying subjects and landscapes. And that’s how I began work as an artist. Because my time is taken up with commissions, for the past thirteen years I’ve not had time to prepare for an exhibition. However, a number of people have asked me if I have a place online where they can view my work, hence I’m presenting a few examples here. None of my works (in pastel, oils or acrylics) are for sale, except for some of the street scenes which sell in Spain as cards or prints. ****** Cuando yo era niña yo gustaba gastar tiempo dibujando. Dibujaba a la gente y los paisajes surrealista. No estaba dibujando ni pintando desde hace mas de 20 años cuando mi marido me compro pintura, pinceles y lienzo. Entonces decidi pintar un retrato de un amigo para regalar por su cumpleaños. Algien vío esa retrato y me encargo para hacer un retrato de su misma, despues ella me encargo para hacer diez cuadros mas, de varias temas y paisajes. Y así es como empecé trabajar como artista. A causa de todo mi trabajo es por encargo, desde hace 13 años, no tengo tiempo para hacer un exposición. Sin embargo alguna gente me pidío si tengo sitio en el internet donde se puede ver mi trabajo, por lo tanto estoy poniendo algunos ejemplos de mi trabajo aqui. Ningun de estas obras (en pastel, óleo o acrilico) son para venderse, con excepción de algunas vistas de calles que se venden en España como tarjetas y laminas. Comme un enfant que j'ai aimé dépenser mes images de dessin de temps des personnes et des paysages surréalistes. Je ne mettrais pas le crayon au papier ou la brosse à la toile pendant plus de vingt années où mon mari m'a acheté des peintures, des brosses et toile. Mon premier projet était de peindre un portrait d'un ami étroit au présent sur son anniversaire. Quelqu'un a vu l'image et m'a commissionné peindre un portrait d'elle-même, après quoi elle m'a commissionné peindre encore dix tableaux des sujets et des paysages variables. Et c'est comment j'ai commencé le travail en tant qu'artiste. Puisque mon temps est pris avec des commissions, parce que les treize dernières années je n'ont pas eu le temps pour se préparer à une exposition. Cependant, un certain nombre de personnes m'ont demandé si j'ai un endroit en ligne où elles peuvent regarder mon travail, par conséquent je présente quelques exemples ici. Aucun de mes travaux (en pastel, pétroles ou acryliques) n'est en vente, excepté certaines des scènes de rue qui se vendent en Espagne comme cartes ou copies.
